Use summer time to grow in faith
“The best place to learn and to teach is in the home.”
In one sentence
Families should treat summer time as a trust from Allah, deliberately filling it with faith, learning, healthy activity, service, and parental guidance rather than letting screens and idleness shape children.
The khutbah in 5 steps
- Free time is a blessing that becomes harmful when left empty of mosque, Quran, education, and good activities.
- Excessive screen use consumes summer hours and exposes children to unhealthy influences, confusion, and bad habits.
- Parents' main responsibility is spiritual and character training, not merely providing food and quiet.
- Youth should use time to build worship, knowledge, skills, family ties, service, and healthy routines.
- Fun, sports, and rest are permissible means for growth and pleasing Allah, not the purpose of life.
