For the dinner table
The khutbah reminds us that Allah can turn an impossible situation into a pathway when we trust Him and follow His guidance. The story of Musa and Bani Israel shows that being rescued from hardship is not the end; new blessings can become new tests. True safety is found by turning our hearts back to Allah and seeking His mercy. The khateeb encouraged us to use the days of Muharram, including fasting on Ashura, to cleanse our hearts and strengthen our faith. We should respond to Allah’s blessings with gratitude, worship, and sincere responsibility.
- What is one difficult thing where you can ask Allah for a pathway?
- Which blessing in your life also brings a responsibility?
- What helps you turn your heart back to Allah?
