For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that Allah's mercy surrounds us, from the breaths we take to the opportunity to pray. When we say Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim, we can remember that we begin in the name of the One whose mercy is all around us. We all make mistakes, but the khateeb urged us not to lose hope or stop returning to Allah. He encouraged us to repent sincerely now, instead of waiting for Ramadan or another special occasion. He also reminded us to show gratitude through our actions, by praying, giving from what we have, and sharing what we know.
