For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that faith is a precious blessing from Allah that needs our attention and care. The khateeb shared how the Prophet Muhammad asked Allah to preserve His blessings and keep his heart firm upon His religion. He explained that practicing our faith can sometimes be difficult or make us feel like strangers, but difficulty does not mean we are doing something wrong. He also reminded us to look beyond our own behavior and encourage others away from wrongdoing. We can take these reminders home by making dua, staying patient, and helping one another hold firmly to our faith.

  1. What is one blessing you want to thank Allah for today, and how could you care for it?
  2. When might practicing your faith make you feel different from your friends, and what support would help?
  3. What could our family do this week to help one another stay close to Allah?
