For the dinner table

Dr. Hamdy reminded us that Ramadan is a precious opportunity to grow closer to Allah through fasting, prayer, and extra worship, especially on Laylat al-Qadr. He encouraged us to practice patience in our daily lives, including when we are studying, working, or dealing with other people. He emphasized caring for people in need and explained that even sharing a little water to break someone’s fast can be meaningful. He shared examples of neighbors bringing food and a brother planning an iftar for people who needed support. He also urged kindness toward employees, sincere requests for Allah’s forgiveness, and prayers for Paradise and protection from the Hellfire.

  1. When was patience difficult today, and what might help you next time?
  2. What small thing could we share to help someone break their fast?
  3. Who in our community could use some care, and what could our family do?
