For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah focused on yaqeen: deep certainty and trust that everything ultimately happens by Allah’s power and permission. The khateeb explained that this trust must show in our actions, including prayer, patience, and continuing to make effort without believing that our own abilities control everything. He illustrated the point through Maryam, Musa at the Red Sea, Ibrahim in the fire, the wife of Fir'aun, and the Prophet’s reassurance to Abu Bakr in the cave. We were encouraged to respond to hardships with hope, remember that Allah provides, and work steadily toward a more contented life.
