For the dinner table

Allah gives us many blessings, and even painful tests can contain wisdom and mercy. Hardship may forgive sins and wake us up to our true purpose: worshipping Allah and preparing for the Hereafter. Feeling grief is natural, but the Prophet taught us to speak only in ways that please Allah rather than complain against His decree. A believer answers good times with gratitude and difficult times with patience, trusting Allah's wisdom. We should protect Allah's boundaries, ask Him for help first, and keep hope in His larger plan.

  1. What is one hardship that helped you turn back toward Allah?
  2. How can we show patience without pretending we are not sad?
  3. What would it mean to ask Allah first in a problem we face this week?
