For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah gives us more blessings than we can count. He compared a believer to a tree whose strong roots represent firm faith in Allah and whose branches represent good deeds reaching toward Him. He then reflected on how trees experience stress and reminded us that people face pressures too. He encouraged us to turn to Allah through prayer, Quran, remembrance, doing good, and helping others, while also taking time to relax and breathe deeply. Every breath is precious, and we can use the moments we have to remember Allah and do something good.

  1. What helps your faith grow stronger, like the roots of a tree?
  2. When your day feels stressful, how could we help you feel supported?
