For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Ramadan is Allah's gift to every Muslim, including anyone who feels distant from faith or ashamed of past mistakes. He encouraged us to seek forgiveness sincerely and welcome people's efforts to change instead of mocking them. We can aim to become better than we were yesterday, choosing realistic, regular steps in Quran, prayer, fasting, dua, and remembering Allah. Fasting should also improve our character, and generosity can mean giving money, time, or practical help. Ramadan is a chance to strengthen our hearts while continuing to care for others and contribute to the world around us.

  1. What could we say to help someone feel welcome when they are trying to come closer to Allah?
  2. What small act of worship could you make part of your daily Ramadan routine?
  3. Who could we help this week by sharing our time or lending a hand?
