Try this week
Make one honest du'a asking Allah to strengthen your courage and loyalty to Him.
Make one apology, leave one bad habit, or refuse one cruel joke.
Pray one salah on time and protect your relationship with Allah.
Learn truth through divine guidance, elders, and compassionate communities rather than trends or short videos.
Speak with adab: avoid insults and vulgarity, even during anger or disagreement.
Choose wise action, including public speech, quiet work, behind-the-scenes service, or du'a when appropriate.
At school, do not laugh when someone is bullied; online, do not share humiliating content.
At home and in the masjid, reject hypocrisy, racism, ethnic pride, and class judgment.

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah invited us to let Ashura change how we live and bring us closer to Allah. Remembering Imam Hussain and Karbala teaches us to hold on to truth and dignity, even when we feel afraid, hurt, or pressured to fit in. Lady Zainab's example reminds us that a grieving heart can still care for others and speak courageously for truth. The khateeb called us to stand against injustice while keeping our manners, refusing cruelty, and choosing actions that help. We can begin at home and school by treating people fairly, protecting someone from humiliation, making sincere du'a, and caring for our prayers.

  1. What could you say or do to help someone who is being left out?
  2. When is it hard to do the right thing without getting everyone's approval?
