Repentance & taqwaFrom the masjid's own video, Aug 7, 2026.

Allah keeps the door of repentance open

Allah’s maghfirah protects believers from the consequences and exposure of sin, repeatedly welcomes sincere tawbah, and can transform repentance into renewed goodness, so no one should despair of His mercy.

Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that Allah’s forgiveness is not only about deleting the past; it is also a protective covering from shame and consequences. The speaker reminded us that people naturally make mistakes, but Shaytan should not persuade us that our sins are greater than Allah’s mercy. Sincere tawbah means turning back directly to Allah, and the door remains open whenever we return honestly. We can begin now by asking forgiveness often, in ordinary moments such as driving, cooking, or sitting, and by trying to live differently.

  1. What does it mean to turn back to Allah after making a mistake?
  2. Why do you think the speaker compared forgiveness to armor?
  3. What is one moment this week when you could say Astaghfirullah sincerely?
