For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us to hold firmly to faith when life feels uncertain or frightening. Hardship does not mean Allah has abandoned us; what matters is how we respond. Patience means doing what we can, continuing our prayers, and trusting Allah with the outcome. We can bring our disappointments to Allah through dua and remember to thank Him when good comes our way. Like a palm tree that offers shade even in harsh heat, we can keep helping others through kind words, good deeds, and feeding people in need.

  1. When something disappoints you, what would you like to ask Allah for?
  2. What is one helpful action you could take while patiently waiting for something difficult to improve?
  3. How could our family offer someone kindness or help this week, like the palm tree offering shade?
