For the dinner table

Today's khutbah taught that love of Allah should produce khashya, a reverent fear of becoming distant from Him. We can grow it by reflecting on Allah's names and power, the beauty of creation, the Quran's warnings, the Hereafter, and our own sins. The khateeb reminded us that a believer treats sins seriously and encouraged visiting the graveyard and asking Allah for forgiveness. This awareness should move us to do good, repent sincerely, and pray for Muslims and oppressed people everywhere.
