For the dinner table

Our faith grows through both the people around us and the choices we make ourselves. Families and communities teach Islam by what they practice: praying together, respecting the masjid, and making good choices visible. But no community can make a person value faith; each of us must choose commitment from within. The khutbah says this commitment grows from loving Allah, remembering that we will stand before Him, and restraining our desires, especially when no one else is watching. When we support one another and make those choices, we hope for Jannah.
