Taqwa shapes generosity, restraint, and forgiveness
Taqwa is not merely worship but a balanced devotion to Allah expressed through generosity, emotional restraint, forgiveness, excellence in conduct, repentance, and good character.

In the khateeb's words
“the idea here is those who give give not just from their wealth but from their time from their effort to help anybody in society that needs help”
“the one who has taqwa strives to not allow their emotion control their action and cause harm to other people.”
“I will forgive. I will forget. I will erase. It never happened.”
“even if someone, no matter how far you feel you're away from Allah , turn to Allah and ask for forgiveness, Allah will forgive you.”
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah taught that taqwa means living with love of Allah, hope in His mercy, and awareness of His accountability. The speaker highlighted five qualities: generosity in ease and hardship, controlling anger, forgiving people, doing good with excellence, and turning back to Allah after sin. Charity can include time, guidance, food, water, a smile, or helping someone in difficulty. We should protect others from our anger, let go of grudges, and change situations that pull us toward wrongdoing. Good worship is important, but it should show itself in the way we treat family, neighbors, and the wider community.
