For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us that being Muslim means submitting to Allah’s will, with belief in His oneness at the heart of our faith. The khateeb explained that all the prophets brought this same central message. He urged us to learn the basics of Islam and teach our children early, so they can grow in understanding and confidence. He also encouraged us to prepare for questions from neighbors, classmates, and coworkers by learning from the Quran and the Prophet’s teachings. He highlighted Muslims’ love for Prophet Isa and the Quran’s account of Maryam as topics we can share when introducing others to Islam.
- What is one choice tomorrow where you could put what you know about Islam into practice?
- What question about Islam would you like us to explore together?
- If a friend asked what being Muslim means to you, what would you share?
