Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah encouraged us to turn back to Allah, ask for forgiveness, and nurture hearts that are soft and kind. It also reminded us to make room for Quran, prayer, and remembering Allah in everyday life. A central message was to plant the seed: do our part sincerely and leave the outcome to Allah. The example of birds going out to find food showed that trusting Allah includes making an effort. Rather than comparing ourselves with the best parts of everyone else's lives, we can appreciate our blessings and choose one specific good step to take.

  1. What is one way you could show a softer, kinder heart tomorrow?
  2. What good seed could you plant this week, even if you do not see the result right away?
  3. What blessing in your own life would you like to thank Allah for tonight?
