For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that building iman takes time, and setbacks are a reason to keep trying. He explained ihsan as worshipping Allah as if we can see Him and remembering that He sees us in every part of our lives. Our foundation is consistently fulfilling our required acts of worship, while leaving major sins helps protect the effect of our good deeds on our hearts. He encouraged us to ask Allah earnestly and often for Paradise and the steadfastness to reach it by His mercy. He also reminded us that family time, play, work, and supporting community projects can all be connected to our hope of reaching Jannah.

  1. What could help you restart a good habit when you have had a difficult week?
  2. How might remembering that Allah sees you guide a choice when you are alone?
  3. What is one way our family could help our community while keeping Jannah in mind?
