The khutbah reflected on Prophet Yusuf as an example of karam: honor, generosity, self-control, forgiveness, and care for others. Yusuf resisted wrongdoing, helped people even when he had been treated unfairly, and forgave his brothers when he had power over them. The khateeb compared Ramadan to a beloved guest and reminded us that Allah’s generosity gives us a chance to wash away sins and regain clarity. We can prepare by removing distractions, increasing worship, and improving our character. Ramadan is an opportunity to run back to Allah with hope, gratitude, and sincere effort.
