For the dinner table

As Ramadan comes to an end, we should thank Allah for the chance to fast, pray, read Quran, and remember Him. We should also turn to Allah with sincere tawbah and istighfar because our worship and behavior have shortcomings. The khateeb reminded us that Allah’s mercy is vast and that sincere repentance is always worth making. Before Eid prayer, families should pay Zakat al-Fitr so people in need can celebrate too, and they should stay to listen to the Eid khutbah. We can carry Ramadan forward by combining gratitude with daily repentance.
