Faith requires worship, repentance, and good character
“When you're wrong, stand up and sincerely repent.”
Islam is a gift and commitment requiring active faith, sincere repentance, steady worship, good character, community service, and hope in Allah's mercy while preparing for the Hereafter.

- Uses stories of repentance and the weighing of deeds to emphasize hope in Allah's mercy.
- Calls for ihsan through gradual Quran learning, sincere repentance, and balanced enjoyment of halal life.
- Emphasizes preparing for the grave through worship, character, service, volunteering, and community participation.
- Encourages American Muslims to vote, support community leadership, and pursue a better communal future.
In the khateeb's words
“Quran is your best GPS ever Spiritually That will guide you That will save you That will even save you time And save you how to get to Jannah”
“When you built hope in Allah When you network With Allah s.w.t With hope and sincere Allah will make a way for you”
“When you worship You do the best When you give Give the best When you speak Speak righteously When you're wrong Stand up And sincerely repent”
“Be a friend of quran Not someone who has So many quran's In his house No be someone Who read the quran”
For the dinner table
Today the imam reminded us that being Muslim is the best gift Allah has given us, and that the Quran is like a GPS that guides us home to Allah and to Jannah. He told the story of a man who had done terrible things and was told there was no hope. Then a wise scholar told him that hope never ends as long as you are alive, and Allah forgave him because he sincerely turned back. He also told us about a man whose many bad deeds were outweighed on the Day of Judgment by one small card that said La ilaha illallah. That only happened because he truly believed it and tried to live by it. The imam encouraged us to keep growing a little at a time, even just one ayah a day, and to be good Muslims even when nobody is watching. He also asked us to stay close to our masjid and community so we are ready, with smiles on our faces, when we meet the angels.
- If the Quran is like a GPS, what is one direction it gives you that helps you every day?
- What is one way you can be a good Muslim even when no one is watching, like on your phone or online?
- What is one ayah or surah you would like to learn next, and how could our family help you?
