For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that iman is more than saying we believe. It gives us trust in Allah, who has all power and provides for us. We still need to take responsible action, like the elderly farmer who kept working when his water pump stopped. When difficulties make us anxious, we can face them honestly without letting them lead us to despair.

  1. What fear could remind us to trust Allah more deeply?
  2. How can we rely on Allah while still doing our part?
  3. What can the farmer's response teach us about setbacks?
