The khutbah says our bodies are an amanah, a trust from Allah, rather than possessions we may neglect. We should care for them by obeying Allah, eating healthy food in moderation, resting, and moving regularly. The speaker encourages walking, sports, and other exercise, while warning against hurting ourselves or others. He also reminds us not to let past sadness or future worry consume us, but to place them in Allah’s hands. Families should prepare healthier food for themselves and their children because caring for one another is part of this trust.
