For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that faith is a great gift from Allah, and Jumu’ah is a chance to remember that blessing. As we help our children prepare for school and learn about Islam, adults also need to keep learning and growing. Hearing the same Quran verses again can help us notice whether we have put their lessons into practice. The khateeb encouraged us to care for our spiritual health and make the Quran part of everyday life. As a family, we can set aside time to learn together and ask Allah to help us love learning and act on what we learn.

  1. What is one thing about the Quran or the Prophet’s life you would like us to learn together?
  2. What familiar Islamic reminder could you put into practice this week?
  3. When could we make a little time for family learning during the school year?
