For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that both easy and difficult moments give us opportunities to respond faithfully to Allah. He encouraged us to be grateful for being able to attend Jumu'ah, even in the cold. Through the story of Hudhayfah, he showed that a person can feel afraid and still take a step in obedience to Allah. He also highlighted the Prophet's care for his companions, checking on them in the cold and sharing his quilt with Hudhayfah. As Ramadan approaches, we can begin small habits of worship and sacrifice now, asking Allah to help us and accept our efforts.

  1. What is something we were able to do today that we can thank Allah for?
  2. How could you notice and help someone who is having a difficult day?
  3. What small habit could our family start together before Ramadan?
