For the dinner table
Sheikh Asim reminded us that everyone faces difficulties, and our faith helps us meet them with patience and trust in Allah. He explained that active patience means taking helpful action while understanding that results may take time. Patience includes keeping up our worship, resisting sinful temptations, and facing hardships with faith. It also means treating people graciously when their words hurt us, and pausing to breathe and think when something upsetting happens. He reminded us that responding to trials with patience and reliance on Allah can bring us closer to Him, and he prayed for healing, protection, and peace.
- What is something you are waiting for, and what helpful step could you take while you wait?
- What could help you pause and breathe when you feel upset?
- How could our family help one another stay consistent with prayer?
