For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that Allah is not distant or unloving; He is al-Wadud, whose love is joined with forgiveness. Human relationships can be wounded, but Allah invites us back whenever we turn to Him. We show love for Allah by following Rasulullah and choosing actions that bring us closer to Him. When we slip, we should not run away in shame; we should repent and return. The community was also asked to make room for the janazah prayers and remember the sick and deceased in dua.
