Imam John Ederer reminded us that seeking and living by the truth is part of our purpose as people who worship Allah. He warned that wanting ourselves or our group to win can distract us from truth and justice. He encouraged honesty, listening to disagreement, and admitting our mistakes. Instead of competing only for personal gain, we can use our time and abilities to help others thrive. He called us to study both Allah's revelation and the world around us, asking Allah to help us put knowledge into practice with compassion and mercy.
