For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us never to lose hope in Allah’s mercy, even when we have done something seriously wrong. Allah is forgiving and merciful, and the khateeb urged us to turn back to Him with honesty and humility. That means asking for forgiveness, making things right, and doing our best to obey Him. When we have hurt someone, including someone in our family, we should take steps to repair that harm. This Ramadan, we can reflect more deeply on the Quran and use the time Allah has given us to come closer to Him.

  1. What helps you ask for forgiveness when admitting a mistake feels hard?
  2. What is one way we can make things right after hurting someone’s feelings?
  3. How can our family make time to think about the Quran together this week?
