For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah is sufficient for His servants, even when the world feels uncertain. The khateeb encouraged us to remember Allah and ask for His forgiveness regularly, following the Prophet’s example. Through the story of Uhud, he emphasized listening to the Prophet and staying faithful to his guidance. Through Hudaybiyah, he showed how something that initially felt disappointing later brought good. He encouraged us to strengthen prayer and Islamic practice in our families and communities, and to face hardship with hope.

  1. When you feel worried, what helps you remember Allah and trust Him?
  2. What can we learn from a time when something disappointing later brought something good?
  3. What is one way our family could encourage each other in prayer this week?
