The khutbah teaches that children are a gift from Allah and a responsibility, with rights before birth and throughout childhood. Parents should provide care, a good name, nourishment, safety, and support until children can stand on their own. They should also teach faith, prayer, Quran, good character, and the difference between halal and haram, while being good examples. The speaker urges parents to begin early and to play with children, guide them, speak honestly, stay close, be patient, and make dua for them. Righteous children can become a lasting benefit to their families and communities, including by praying for their parents after death.
