Allah answers dua in His wisdom
“We need to be patient with Allah's timing.”

When a dua seems unanswered, believers should not despair: Allah is near, answers according to His wisdom and timing, and asks them to continue calling on Him with hope, repentance, and patience.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“The danger zone is not Allah accepting from you or not. The danger zone is when your heart goes away from Allah.”
“Your job is to make du'a and leave it up to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.”
“We need to be patient with Allah's timing. Because Allah's wisdom is way beyond our imagination.”
“Before you make any decision, call out to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Sometimes we keep praying and do not see the answer we hoped for. The khutbah reminds us that Allah is still near, hears every prayer, and has never abandoned us. A dua may be answered immediately, answered in a different and better form, or saved as a reward for the Hereafter. Our responsibility is to keep asking, seek forgiveness, and remain hopeful and patient with Allah’s timing. We can turn to Allah before making decisions and trust that His wisdom is greater than our own.
- When have you had to wait patiently for something important?
- What helps you remember that Allah is near during a difficult day?
- What decision could you make this week after first calling upon Allah?
