For the dinner table

This khutbah encouraged us to seek truth carefully and let our actions match the faith we speak about. The khateeb asked us to look honestly at our private habits, our excuses, and our desire to impress other people. He reminded us that our relationship with Allah should guide how we treat our families, including being honorable to our parents when a day is difficult. He suggested starting with something tangible, such as correcting a lie and giving prayer its proper place in our day. We do not have to be perfect to begin, but we should keep making steady progress toward honesty, discipline, and remembering Allah.
