For the dinner table

Our children are gifts from Allah, and caring for them is a responsibility that deserves our time and attention. The khateeb reminds us that parents have duties toward their children, just as children have duties toward their parents, and our shared destination is Jannah. Through Luqman's advice, he encourages faith in Allah alone, kindness to parents, awareness that Allah sees our actions, prayer with patience, and good manners. He asks families to give one another love and company instead of letting busyness and devices take over. He also calls for caring boundaries, supported by conversation and understanding, to help children grow into responsible adults. Raising children well is a lasting investment, including the prayers they may make for their parents.
