For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that our life's purpose is to worship and know Allah. Salah is not only a duty; when we prepare for it and pray with attention, it trains our hearts to remember Allah and turn away from sin. We can improve by preparing before prayer, learning what our recitations mean, and gently bringing our minds back when distracted. This change takes patience, and we should protect today's prayers while steadily making up prayers we missed.

  1. What helps you feel most present when you pray?
  2. What is one small step you could take before your next salah?
  3. How can our family encourage one another to keep current prayers and work on missed ones?
