Imam Tariq reminded us that the masjid should have a central place in a Muslim’s life. He told stories about the Prophet establishing masjids at Quba and in Madinah, and joining others in the work of construction. He highlighted Abu Bakr’s generosity and encouraged us to support the building of masjids. He reminded us that a beautiful building needs people praying inside it, and urged everyone to make an intention to attend at least one prayer there each day. He also asked parents to bring their children, so that coming to the masjid becomes part of family life.
