For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that our life in this world is temporary and that our deeds are what will matter when we return to Allah. We should live as believers every day, remain proud of our faith, and avoid setting aside Allah’s guidance for worldly approval. We hope for Allah’s mercy, but we also seek it through prayer, fasting, honest choices, repentance, and other good actions. Trials are part of faith, so we should hold firmly to Islam, learn our religion, and help one another persevere. The khutbah ended with the beautiful hope that families and friends who worship and encourage one another may enter Jannah together in peace.

  1. What is one good deed you would like our family to do together regularly?
  2. When might it feel difficult to be proud of your Muslim identity, and what could help?
  3. Who encourages you to become a better person, and how do they do it?
