Imam Farooki reminded us that time is a gift from Allah and that a new Hijri year is a good moment to examine how we are living. Our knowledge, minds, work, and the beauty of creation should lead us to recognize Allah and serve Him with gratitude. He encouraged us to set practical goals, beginning with the five daily prayers and Quran study, while also working hard, earning halal income, and caring for our families. When we fail or sin, we should return to Allah, ask for forgiveness, repair relationships, and begin again. We should also serve our neighbors, stand for justice, help people in need, and pray for peace and those who are suffering.
