Let good deeds outweigh bad deeds
“Our good deeds always exceed our bad and the prophet says let your good deeds follow your bad deeds.”
In one sentence
Because resurrection and judgment before Allah are certain, believers should fear Allah, repent after wrongdoing, and make their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds.

Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us that resurrection and judgment are real, and that Allah will deal with every deed justly. Because Allah created us the first time, bringing us back is not difficult for Him. We should increase our good deeds and remember that our choices matter, even when they seem small. When we make a mistake, we should turn back to Allah and follow it with a good deed. We can take judgment seriously while still hoping in Allah’s mercy and guidance.
- What good deed could we add to our routine this week?
- What should we do after realizing we made a mistake?
- How can remembering Allah’s judgment help us choose wisely?
