Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that Allah alone created everything and has full power over life, death, and resurrection. The speaker asked Allah to guide us through the Quran and to forgive our mistakes. He also encouraged us to support the masjid as an ongoing charity and to welcome local leaders without endorsing any candidate politically. Most of all, he called us to stay united by holding fast to Allah's rope together. On the way home, we can think about one small way each of us can support the masjid and keep our hearts connected to Allah.

  1. What does it mean that Allah can create and recreate anything He wants?
  2. How can kids help 'build' the masjid even without money?
  3. Why is it important for Muslims to stay united and not divide?
