For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that every person will die and return to Allah, so lasting success is not measured by wealth, status, or possessions. We can enjoy lawful blessings in this life, but we should use them for good and keep the Hereafter as our main goal. We should pray carefully, live with ihsan by remembering that Allah sees us, and turn back through sincere repentance when we fall short. Repentance also means repairing harm done to other people. Finally, we were encouraged to give from what Allah has provided and support our mosques, schools, and community work while we still have the chance.
