For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that life is not aimless and that every person will return to Allah. The speaker says Allah warns us about Judgment and Hellfire out of mercy, so we wake up before it is too late. He especially emphasizes salah: prayer should come before worldly distractions, and a sincere relationship with it can protect us from sin. We should keep improving our worship, perform wudu carefully, and turn back to Allah with gratitude and humility. Each of us is responsible for our own choices, so this week we can make one concrete change in how we pray and obey Allah.

  1. What is one small way we can make salah a higher priority this week?
  2. When do you find it hardest to remember Allah, and what could help?
  3. What does it mean to be accountable for our own choices?
