For the dinner table

Today the khateeb reminded us that the Quran is Allah's book, a mercy and a guide for our lives. He encouraged us to make a sincere effort to recite it correctly, even when improving our pronunciation feels difficult. He also asked us to think about how much time and attention we give the Quran each day. Learning the meanings of the short surahs we already recite can help us feel more focused and engaged in prayer. Above all, he reminded us to practice what we know, keep trying when we make mistakes, and remember Allah's mercy and forgiveness.
