For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that our deeds are presented to Allah regularly, with Sha'ban carrying the record of the past year as Ramadan approaches. Because of that, we should use Sha'ban to take an honest look at our prayers, words, habits, and relationships. The speaker encourages fasting, daily Quran, Tahajjud, remembrance, the five prayers in congregation and on time, and regular Sunnah prayers. We should also let go of hatred and reconcile with people, while asking Allah for forgiveness and steadiness. The goal is to welcome Ramadan with a stronger routine and a record filled with good deeds.

  1. What good deed could you begin or strengthen before Ramadan?
  2. Which prayer or worship habit would help you become more consistent?
  3. Is there someone with whom you should make peace or let go of resentment?
