“If Allah loves you, people will love you.”

The khateeb, at 12:34

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Rabi al-Awwal is a time to remember the birth and guidance of Prophet Muhammad. He encouraged us to reconnect with the Prophet's Sunnah, because loving and following him brings us closer to Allah. He especially focused on forgiving parents, children, siblings, and friends, while still speaking truth kindly. This weekend, each of us can spend 20 minutes listing the Sunnahs we practice and one we want to build into daily life. Small acts of prayer, worship, kindness, and forgiveness can bring peace to our homes and mercy to our community.

  1. What is one Sunnah you already practice, and one you would like to begin?
  2. When is forgiveness difficult, and how can we show kindness while still telling the truth?
  3. How could following the Prophet's example change our family this week?
