The khateeb reminded us that Jumu'ah is a special time to remember Allah and learn our religion. He shared how Ka'b ibn Malik regularly made dua for the man who first led their Friday prayer, showing us a beautiful example of remembering those who helped our community. He also explained practical ways to care for others at the masjid, such as putting shoes where nobody will trip over them. He encouraged prayer, asking Allah for His mercy and blessings, and sending blessings upon the Prophet, especially on Friday. Finally, he reminded us to approach Jumu'ah with sincere intentions and strive to do the best we can.
