For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that we often notice our problems more than Allah’s blessings. The greatest blessing is Islam itself and the chance to worship Allah with knowledge, sincerity, and the Prophet’s guidance. We should speak about blessings in a way that leads to gratitude, use them to obey Allah, and protect our faith from shirk, superstition, innovation, and sinful dealings. Even when worldly possessions are lost, faith is the treasure we must guard. Gratitude means recognizing Allah’s gifts, praising Him, and living responsibly toward other people.
