For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Tawheed means worshipping Allah alone and is the foundation of our faith. He encouraged each of us to look into our hearts and ask how deeply that belief shapes our lives. Like a tree with strong roots that keeps bearing fruit, firmly rooted faith can help us hold on to hope and keep doing good through difficult times. He also urged us to remove shirk, or associating partners with Allah, from our worship. When we make mistakes, we should return to Allah, remembering that He accepts repentance and welcomes our return. He closed by praying for stronger faith, relief for those suffering, and preparation in body and soul for Ramadan.
