For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that Allah loves this ummah and gave us the Qur’an as a special mercy: His own words, a light for our hearts, and a guide toward Jannah. When we are troubled, sincere recitation, wudu, prayer, and humble attention can bring peace and tranquility. The Qur’an has been preserved through generations, including through the many huffaz who memorize it by Allah’s mercy. To love the Qur’an, we should believe in it, learn to read it correctly, understand it, and follow it. This love is also a community responsibility, so we can help others learn the Qur’an and support those who teach it.

  1. What is one time Qur’an recitation or a verse helped you feel calm or hopeful?
  2. What is one small way our family can read, understand, or follow the Qur’an this week?
  3. How could we help someone else learn the Qur’an?
