For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that the Quran honors all of God's messengers, including Jesus, and gives Mary a special place. Muslims believe Jesus was a human messenger of God and that his message of worshipping one God connects with Muhammad's message. The sermon then turned to mothers, urging us to show them closeness, mercy, time, and care while they are alive. When parents have died, we can still honor them by praying for them, fulfilling their promises, and respecting their friends. The community will also pray the funeral prayer, remembering that every act of worship and kindness can prepare us for the Hereafter.
